I'm getting ready for my first oil change. I've already purchased new filters and a Geno's replacement drain plug.

I have 2 questions:

1. The drain pug came without a gasket. I'm thinking that it would be wise to insall a new one when I install the new drain plug. Comments?

2. What is the appropriate size hex key / drive to remove the factory drain plug?

Thanks

Ramboat,

1. If the gasket is in good shape you can reuse it. Your new drain plug may have been shipped with a gasket.

2. The factory drain plug accepts a 3/8" male ratchet drive. Some folks have had problems with the drive part breaking off.
