OK, here goes! I the original owner of a bone stock 1997 SLT extended cab 12valve 2wd with auto, 3. 54 rear. 157,000 miles and counting. This site has been great! No problems with throttle cable, or brake pull. Vaccum pump seal failed( 30 bucks to fix including shipping of new seal) Starter solinoid failed( fixed with milling machine and bar copper no cost but time) re-sealed rear end cover, 2 brake jobs on front, original shoes still on rear(1/2 thickness left compaired to new shoes as measured by calipers on 27june) rear brakes adjusted with oil changes, fuel cutoff relay replaced with Nehoff relay(half mopar cost) on third set of tires (stock lasted 30k miles, Cooper SRMII's lasted till 26 June, just put new set on in size LT235/85 R16 load range E)2 new batteries(from Batesville battery co. ) new Monroe shocks front and rear, Amsoil 15w 40in engine, Amsoil in the rear,(I'm an Amsoil dealer) Stanadyne in the tank, Fleetguard micro glass oil filters, napa fuel filters, valves adjusted once (all it has needed) at 24k miles, trans service every 24k miles(getting tired, time for rebuild and DTT mods) I tow a 27 ft Terry fifth wheel once a month(average just got back from N. C. averaged 14. 5 mpg towing)

Wife likes the serviceability of the truck (all work done by me) can't stand the ride because she can't get her makup on straight!

Bombing to start this summer!

:D :D :D :D

Welcome CPH. Good to have you aboard. Sounds like you have quite a lot of time on the board, just made the jump to active member. Bombing can be an insidious virus that has no known cure!@ Watch out.

Big John

Thanks Big John,

Yeah, been reading for a long time. This board has saved me BIG bucks. I've had the symptoms of the illness, opening the hood just to look inside, stashing extra cash(a wife and two kids in college make it a must!) buying stuff in twos( one for me and one for a fellow TDR member cause I know he'll want one!) and driving the truck everywhere!

Charlie:D :D :D :D

CPH,

You have been a busy man no wonder this is your first post. :)

Welcome and good luck with the truck, not that it needs it seems you take good care of it.

Wife needs to wait until truck comes to full stop before applying makeup. You do stop every now and then, right. ;)
