I recently installed a new Southbend clutch (CON OFE), along with their flywheel, did the job about 2 months ago, give or take. While out in Surprise AZ looking for a home to purchase, my starter began acting up and making an odd racket/not engaging. After getting the truck started and making my way back to NM, I brought it to the dealership in the hopes it was nothing more than the starter, even though I had a horrible feeling that the flywheel ring gear was going to be damaged also. Both the starter and flywheel have teeth busted off, hence the terrible racket when starting the truck (that is, when I could get the starter to engage). So, long story short, Chrysler is covering a new factory flywheel (and starter) under my service contract (I was upfront about it being an aftermarket clutch/flywheel), but my question is as follows... Am I going to experience any issues with the Southbend clutch mating up to a factory flywheel?

I called Southbend, and they told me their flywheel is identical to the factory flywheel, save for the upgraded pilot beairing. But I was under the impression that the dodge flywheel had a bevelled face, and the southbend was straight cut??? Does anyone have any info on this?? The clutch/flywheel that is installed is the kit used to upgrade from the 5 speed to the 6 speed (1947 OFEK... 13-1. 375) which is also a direct replacement on the 6 speed NV5600 trucks with the High Output engine.

As a side note, I have been extremely pleased with the clutch, and Southbend was very helpful on the phone, fantastic customer service!!
