Reese 15K vs 16K hitch

Just hooked up to my 5er and towed it several miles. Stopped on several grades and can not believe how good the launches were. Absolutely no pain what so ever. :-laf

But does it go backwards?

How much tighter is the torque converter? Have you tried backing your fiver?

That's when the 48RE is really unhappy, engine screaming and truck barely moving.

There was NO issue with the TQ. The launch was so smooth that I was jumping for joy. I have not backed it up a hill yet but I will today.

What made you switch up to a 2007. 5 with the 6. 7? Did you gain any weight carrying? Not that anybody needs a reason to upgrade, I was just wondering, since I saw your old (2006) was modded pretty nicely. Scotty

The 2006 did a great job pulling my 5er. I did not like the way reverse just did not have what it should. I also wanted the 6 speed 68rfe. I plan to upgrade to 19. 5s the end of the summer. Mainly for the looks. I never had a lick of trouble out of the 48re. Just got the itch.
