I just got back from my first road trip with my truck and I couldn't be happier. We went from Ky to Florida and I had 4200 miles starting out. I wasn't towing anything. I did notice some drivetrain vibration between 60-65 mph, but at 70-75 it smoothed right out and the truck seemed to hit a sweet spot at those speeds. I averaged 18. 4 MPG calculated, and I was not real disapointed with that with the 4:10 gears. It had PLENTY of punch left for passing at those speeds. I did notice that my bumper is getting discolored from the exhaust, which my 2001 never did do that I noticed. I also noticed that diesel in Florida was $1. 84 a gallon, and $1. 43 right across the line in Georgia. One of the gas station owners told me that diesel taxes in Fla are 11 cents higher than gasoline. If that's true I sure don't appreciate being gouged. Anyway, a great troublefree trip and it just re-affirmed my decision to buy another Dodge, although I was tempted by the new Fords I will admit. Glad I made the choice I did.
