Competition First sled pull!

Well tonight was my first offecial sled pull and i got 366. 2 feet. My question is i had the DDUFM on 5x5 with stage 2 injectors and i thought i would put on a good smoke show but what i got was nothing until the end of the pull were the sled caught up with me. Usually driving around the road and stuff i can put out a good cloud and make it so other people cant see where they are going. Is this because my box was defueling at 2600rpm. EGT's were about 1050 degrees. I am not really complaning because i won the diesel class but i would have like to see a little more out of the stack if you know what i mean.

But when your on the road does your smoke clear right up with boost? That might be why you don't have that much smoke pulling the sled because your boost is up there cause the truck is working so hard to pull that heavy sled. Generally the ones that put on the best smoke shows are the ones running MAJOR fuel.



However my buddies 94 2500 w/ 160HP pump with PDR 370's, #10, and JR Adkins Laser Cut DV's puts on a good smoke show while hooked to the sled..... so go figure on that one?

Nice job, I wouldn't worry about a smoke show, it sounds like the show you put on, was a nice hook-and thats what matters.
