Competition Need a clutch

And I have to say it was a blast. We went down to Kearny, Ne for a test and tune night. Kearny also had a cruise night so the the strip was pretty full. Lots of nice cars. I was jealous :). Saw one Dodge that had a suburban body grafted onto the front end. The best Suv Dodge never built.

I was the only diesel there that was racing. Hope I didn't embaress the diesel crowd too bad. I only got two runs in but I did better than I thought I would so I'm happy. So what do you guys think? I'm I6C. The other one is a 66 Mustang with a 289.

Not bad for a polish kid huh? I'm sure I can improve a little bit and get it into the 15's hopefully.

Hey not bad for rowin' gears!
Kearney is where I run too. We are waiting for gears and tires before we go back. 13. 41 @ 104. 6 was our best run our first time out, a little different truck than yours though.

HERE is a vid of our run.

Is Kearny always disorganized and crowded? We didn't start racing till about 3 in the afternoon. Then after everybody had run once they sat and dinked around for 15-20 then called for the flathead guys to stage so we had to wait for another 10 min before they got all ready to go(they were too good to just park their cars in the staging lines like the rest of us I guess) then they'd run them all again.

After I raced my second time they told us that they were going to run a jackpot race and time trials wouldn't start again until 8:00. I left then cause I had a 3 hour drive home.

If its always like that I think I'll find a different place to go.

You picked a bad weekend with the cruise in town for time trials. I have never been to the strip on that day so idk?
When we went there were only 77 cars at the strip. They did mess around in the morning with the timing lights but that was supposed to be the last weekend for those lights. So we were about an 1 - 1. 5 hours delayed there.
We did get 6 or 7 runs in that day and we could have gotten more but we knew we had basically maxed out our tires and gears and we weren't going to get much, if any faster. We are planning on going back yet this year. We have an event to get to Aug 23rd so if we don't get there before then it will be early sept. when we go back.
Not much selection as far as 1/4 mile tracks go for us. Sorry it wasn't a good experience for you, hope you go back and try it again.
