First time Cummins owner here!!

Just got my truck a few days ago. Today while driving home on Ritchie Hwy. in Maryland from a trip to the grocery store a member from here here flagged me over to tell me about this club, I just want to say thanks for the info. I've poked around a bit and there is some great stuff in here. I've been a long time Ford customer having had a 02 F-250 with a 7.3. I downsized to a 2013 F-150 Ecoboost because I hardly ever towed anything, then 6 months later we buy a 34 ft camper... While the Ecoboost was very capable of towing it was too light and I feared the engine would not last with the demand I was putting on it. I have to mention that I've also had many other Fords... 2x mustangs and a Flex(wife still drives this) all new vehicles in the past 10 years. All but the Flex has had issues that could never seem to be fixed and it was always a battle to have the service folk do anything about it. The F-150 I just unloaded had some lame throttle issue (not turbo lag) where it would go, stop and then after a few seconds go again. I took it in for service and it was the same story over again, sorry we cant find anything wrong (even though there are TSB for this issue they refused to apply them because they did not come up under my vin). That was roughly a week and a half ago from today. I told the service manager not to worry, I'll never buy a Ford again and I'm not going to have this truck for much longer.

I found a fantastic 2013 laramie longhorn with 8K miles for a price that well, was too good to pass up. I'm still learning about the truck, it's been great so far. My only complaint is the seat is not as comfortable as i would like.

Up until 8-10 years ago, a couple friends and I used to host small scale gatherings here. We would get 20-30 trucks from PA, OH, WV, MD. Sometimes it was for wings/drinks other times we would all go bracket race at Pittsburgh Raceway Park. Some of the guys got out of diesels all together, some of us sold our race trucks, and a few guys passed away unfortunately. It would be nice to try something like that again at some point. Of course now, instead of wings and beer, it would be Ensure and Fiber One Bars.....:-laf
