This was on a Mustang Dynamometer.

hp 208 @ 2950, tq @ 394 @ 2700 overdrive off

hp 205 @ 2700, tq @ 403 @ 2700 overdrive on

I'm happy with my hp#, but I was hoping for higher tq#'s. Any idea how I could get a tq. reading at a lower rpm?

Jim

While I've never had any dyno experience whatsoever, from what I've seen here you'll always appear a little low on a dyno in the torque dept.

The biggest reason I say this is because many of the threads you see here that include any discussion on dynos seems to include comments along the lines of "... my peak boost was lower on the dyno than I've ever seen under full load on the road... "

Mike

I think your torque numbers are a little low. I have always seen at least 2X hp vs tq - especially on 1St Gen's. and that includes most guys turning over 200 hp. What type of dyno were you on?

Bob

You probably have more torque, and maybe it wasn't being measured properly. Your HP is a good improvement over stock, but your torque numbers are about stock, so it doesn't add up. The one time mine was on the dyno, it did a lowly 196 RWHP, but 572 TQ.

Bob, it was a mustang dyno.

JFitzgerald, I was hoping for 550 on tq. I think the rpm was to high, 2700rpm is beyond what I used to defuel at.

Jim

I don't thing the torque reading from a auto no lock will match the readings of a stick. Because of that worthless torq. that dodge blessed us with. :(

Anything I should know?

About running on the dyno? These guys have run TD's before. Direct(5th) or Overdrive (6th) or both? Anything else?
