Well, took the 06 out to see if we could dial in the boxes and figure out what runs the best. Superchips on tow/safe and the TST on 2/3 gave us a 13. 2 @ 107. 9 Not a bad opener! All the ricers there wouldn't give me the time of day when we puled in. After the first race we were "the" place to hang out! Ha ha. I love the way these guys all look at trucks!
So, I was thrilled to throw such a great number. Even better, at the end of the run, crossing the line my egts were 1258*!! Awesome! Need more fuel.
So, next run, TST on 3/3. Well, 4wd said no thatnks, but I didn't know, spooled it up, smoke show for the first 250+ feet. Got slippery, wouldn't grab, got out of it, cycled the switch, it caught and got back into it and got an 18. 0 @ 100. Not bad for getting out of it and having to try and save it. I was climbing up that mustangs rear in a hurry! (he finnished at like 96mph)
Third run, little embarassed about the whole burnout thing, paired against a ricer and already was told I wasn't aloud to drive home if I lose to a ricer. Pulled off a 13. 4 @ 107. Funny, reaction was better (. 54 compared to . 102) but I know I was running the rail dry. Pulled harder. But I must have been loseing power in the top end.
So, My 200 gph fass will be here tomarrow. Operates @ 50psi. Anyone think I will see a dilervery increase over my 150 with 40psi spring?
BTW- this was only my second time on a drag strip, first in this truck. WHAT A RUSH!!
