Well I made my first tow in the new Dodge Cummins Diesel 3500 Ram, the truck ran like a champ, I have the 48RE transmission and it worked just fine.
I towed my 8' x 24' Mighty Mover trailer, the trailer towed nice and the Cummins ran real strong, I have 1500 miles on the truck so this should help in the break in of the Cummins engine.
Very happy with this truck, this is my forth Dodge, first was a 1996 1500 standard cab short bed, second was a 1999 1500 quad cab short bed, third was a 2002 1500 quad cab short bed 4x4 and this one is a 2005 3500 DRW quad cab long bed with the Cummins engine.
All three of the other Dodges ran fine and never had any engine, transmission or rear end work done to them other then routine fluid changes. I expect this one to be just as good.
