First trip on Edge Comp

Oo. My first trip with the newly installed Edge Comp was with an empty camper shell but showed great promise of things to come. I got 2 MPG more than stock... . with the setting on two going and three coming back. The rig has 50K miles and never had the computer shown more than 17. 6 or 17. 8... . on the best days. It is on 20. 2 right now (actual mileage was 18. 6). Am I pleased? You betcha! The power increase when that turbo boost passes the old 18 PSI and zips right up to 25-28 with EGT well in the green is a ripper set back only by the whistle given off by the elbow... . at least that is what I assume it to be. Any suggestions on how to reduce the annoying squeal?

Check it by hand before getting excited.



Your adding more fuel then the "computer" sees..... so your mpg computer is not acurate anymore.

What were your sub-levels at



I have been wanting to see what I can get for fuel economy with DD's version, but so far I haven't been able to get it out of 3-5 or 5-5



Your info would give me a starting point.

If what you are meaning by sub-levels... those MPGs before Edge... . it was in the 17s. That is by pencil and calculator.



I feel I have gained at least a mile and a half by actual messure with the Edge Comp.

Each level has a sub-level of 1 to 5 that corresponds to the major levels (the solid lighted bars).



With your COMP on, push the power button and release. The flashing bars are your sub-levels.



I. e. If your box is showing level 2 (2 bars lighted) and you go to the sub-level and see 5 bars flashing, you would be in 2-5.



Try it and let me know how many bars are flashing in the sub-level.
