Does any one know if a 6 speed out of a 2004 will fit the cummins 4BT?

Yes, if you use the correct trans to block adapter. The HPCR engine ( 2003 and up ) have a different bolt pattern on the back of the block compared to the older ones. We put a 6 speed from a 2008 behind a 96 engine in a 93 W350 using the 96 adapter. The back of the block is the same between 4 and 6 cyl in the same generation. Shadrach
