Fitting Size?

I have a 92CTD and need some information.
I'm planning on adding a water temperature gauge. There is a plug in the thermostat housing where I want to install the sending unit. Does anyone happen to know what size it is and if it NPT or metric?

It is standard pipe thread but I don't recall the exact size. I used a mechanical gauge and the probe was too long so I had to use a short nipple then a female piece on that to lenghten the height. Just take the plug out and take it with you to the hardware store.
