Today I have cooled off a bit. Thursday evening I took my truck to the dealer for it's 20,000 km checkup. I provided the filter and oil so I would know what would go in. My towing mirrors rattle a bit on some of our rough roads around here and that was my only complaint. It works best for me to take the truck in one day and pick it up the next day. Well yesterday I went in to pick up the truck, it is Saturday so a minimum of staff is around and maybe that is a good thing. After I get the keys, I see the mirrors have been flipped down and readjusted. I always keep my mirrors up since I frequently pull trailers. That got my dander up one notch. I flipped the mirrors up. My first thought was to get some bozo from the dealer to help me adjust the mirrors since the right one takes time. When I tried to adjust the mirrors, the left one adjusted easily but the right mirror is very tight and when I pushed on the lower inside I broke the mirror. At that point my dander went off the scale. No service manager to talk to cause this Saturday. I found the salesman that I bought my truck from, one salesman I can trust, he was busy but he could see I was fumeing. I told him what happened. He said that should be warranty and if I had problems to let him know. After I got the mirrors adjusted (about 20 trips from the drivers seat to the right side), I drove about two blocks and then it hit me, I should check the odometer, somebody drove my truck! I checked what they put down on the receipt and sure enough 17 kilometers.
Tomorrow the salesman is going to get a call with the latest information. I will find out then if this dealersip is five star which they claim or if they are ordinary. I hope when I talk to him or others at the dealership I can keep my cool. When I get mad I don't think fast enough. Sorry about the long post, but I had to vent to people who understand. Thanks guys!
