Fixed KDP

Me and a buddy in N. Georgia fix the KDP today. That jig is a work of art. Precision is where it's at. That thing is really some else. One thing we did that I found to be really necessary while we were in there, was to torque the timing gear cover bolts. All but 2 were lose. The book say's 18 ft lbs and they were probably less than 8. That should help the leak some.



When anyone has the fan off and can get to those bolts it's the time to do it.

I've done four of them recently. One hadn't moved, the others had started to come out, 1/16", 1/8" and 3/16" approximately.

from what I understand all the second gen 12 valvers could have the problem. I am unsure about first gens. I see your signature and would advise you to do the deed its pretty simple and can save alot of tears and anguish let alone money. good luck and get on a list for the jig
