I have a 2001. 5 with 57k miles... had the Edge EZ setting since 10k. Auto transmission... 3. 54 gears... 285 BF Goodrich tires. I have had the EZ on the most aggressive setting since I installed it. I haven't towed with it, but will be driving from Atlanta-Denver and back this week. Trailer one way, trailer + 2 door Hummer truck (7k pounds?) on the way back. My questions are...

1) Should I change my EZ to a less aggressive setting?

2) I have the option of going to a gooseneck, should I do that or is the factory hitch sufficient?

3) What 'check-ups' should I do to the truck before making this haul?

Thanks for any help.

Had exact vehicle with ez, trans would slip on heavy upgrades.

5th wheel setup so cannot answer question on hitch.

ck all fluids and tire pressures on both truck and trailer.

I just returned to Atlanta from tow to Bosie no problems other than some snow. have a safe trip.

For a 10,000 lb load (7K Hummer + trailer weight), I'd suggest going with the gooseneck - they're easier to pull than a darned bumper pull. JMHO

Dixie Doesn't look like you have guages so turn the EZ down or you have a good chance of cooking your turbo IMHO I would settle for having it on 3
