This may sound dumb but my flag hangs at 45* angle off my house and when the wind blows it wraps itself around the pole. Anyway to stop this??? Wanted to know if there is a trick to it
I'm using a piece of thin plastic/ pvc conduit that just slips over my flag pole.
Two large washers cut from thin sheet stock on top and bottom keeps it in place (using large wire ties to keep the washers in place), attatch the flag to the conduit with wire ties (two on top and two on bottom). Now the conduit will spin on the pole preventing "Wrap-Up"
Not really. On a vertical pole, a wrapped flag will unfurl itself when the wind stops. In your case you must lift the flag or rotate the pole.
I had the same problem, so I just flat mounted the flag on the gable over the garage door. Two 40-watt bulbs on a timer and I'm set. It stays there until the troops come home. Period.
