Flashers quit

Some time back I was pulling a trailer with double tail lights and I was unloading equipment on the road so I put my flashers on of course. But when I got in the truck I noticed they were flashing iratically. And now they dont work at all. I put a new flasher element in but still no go anyone ever change out a switch? Any ideas?

Make sure you replaced the flasher for the hazard lights and not the one for the turn signals. I just had to replace the one but I accidentally put it in the wrong one and my turn signals were flashing crazy. When I plugged everything back in the right place, everything worked fine.

I replaced both of the flashers but still nothing. Surely I didn't burn the switch.

If the fuse panel is the same in the 93's as the 89 the wire from the fuse to the flaser on the back of the fuse panel can burn out, its very light duty. Mine did the same after using the flashers with the trailer (backin up). I had to solder in a new wire from the fuse outlet to the flasher inlet. Take a look at the wire and trace it with a tester/ohm meter.

Just a thought.
