I noticed this morning while I was waiting on the glo plug light to go off that my cel was flashing. I turned the key off turned it back on the cel would stay on for about 10 seconds then start flashing. It flashes 10 times then stops. The light will stay on. It does this every time I start the truck. Anybody know what that means?

I am on my second 6. 7, they both do exactly what you describe. Flash the CEL after "wait to start" goes off. start and runs fine.

Your truck doesn't have glo plugs. It has a grid heater (like a toaster heating element) for the intake air.

I can't help you with your CEL question, I would recommend you call your dealer's service department

They all do that if you don't start the engine within a few seconds after the grid heater indicator light goes out. I think it is normal and means nothing.

On edit: What I should have said is the flashing CEL in that situation doesn't mean there is a problem, it simply tells the driver his engine is not running. Duhhh . . . he probably knows that.
