I have a 2001 4x4 with auto trans. My truck has a flat spot between 10 to 45 mph. If I'm cruising at say 30 mph and then go to accelerate, there's nothing there. What I have to do then is step all the way down on the pedal and then the truck downshifts and I have trottle response again. The trottle position is an expensive part and the dealer says that they never sold one but it definitley feels like an electrical problem

Mine did the same thing on me about a year ago I hope its still under warranty. Sounds like the VP44 is calling to the grave. When it did that it was a timing module failure code but did not throw a check engine light. Mine was covered under warranty. Hope you can too.
