Flatbed body prices

I'm trying to find a reasonably priced flatbed for my chassis cab. So far I've gotten a quote of $1939 installed for a Reading 11' Redi-Deck (no options beyond base). That seems high to me. I was figuring $1500 installed tops for a pretty plain steel flatbed. I still have to talk to Unicell who sells Knapheide, but beyond that I may be out of local choices. . Are these guys off or are my expectations off?

Those two "brandname" units are well made but your paying for the name somewhat. Looking through my local ag related paper, I see some eight footers starting at $600 not installed of course. Hit the farm shows for good prices. You have that big Empire show coming up in Syracuse I believe.

You might try these folks - I didn't notice where you are from - http://www.trailersforsale.com/index.html



They have very competitive prices on new trailers, and I saw where they had flatbeds listed when I was browsing through their site.
