How would a SRW quad cab look with a flatbed? Does anyone have any pictures? How much would it cost? Where did you get it done? The bed metal is just too thin!Oo. Oo. Oo.

Scroll down to custom truck beds. In the elete series bed section. They show a pic of a SRW truck.

Cost depends on the options you would pick to have the bed customized to. Figure around 5K +.

I have one of these beds on my 93.

I've seen some SRW that look ridicules with a flatbed and I've seen some that look good. It all comes down to what you like/need. If I had the time and money I would build a flatbed for my 2500. I also think it helps if you have wider than stock tires to help even out the body line. Having a bed that hangs4-6" out past your tires looks kinda ugly to me, but who am I to say, sure someone out there doesn't like my trucks looks...

I've seen plenty of good looking flatbed SRW trucks in OK and KS. Although, most are Deweze flatbeds with the hay bale spears or unroller. Some have an A frame style of lift on the back.

I think the best looking beds on a SRW truck are shiney aluminum.

One thing I was very disapointed about while thinking about converting to a flatbed, is in talking to CHP officer he informed me that "all flatbed trucks in Ca. must stop at all CHP weigh stations, regardless of size or weight".

I have not confirmed this with the DMV, but I would be surprised if it was not true.

Put that in your pipe and smoke it. I'm glad I only live here part of the year.

I sell a loe of CM flatbeds and they look good on SWB trucks. I use 80" width on them so they don't stick out so far. $1500 plus $395 install. CMtruckbeds.com

Knaphide on my 92. It's sitting up higher off the frame for tire clearence. Also had to do a "cab tilt", lifting the rear of the cab to match the line fo the bed.
