Fleetgaurd Fuel Filters The Same As Autozone

I was giving the old dog a tune-up this weekend and found to my surprise the Autozone brand fuel filter that I bought had the exact same stamping and numbers around the holes in the filter. I'd take this to be the same filter and way cheaper:--)

The Filter that I had on the truck was a Fleetgaurd. Sorry I got carried away and lost my train of thought!!!!

Are you referring to the Duestsch (sp?) filter that Autozone sells?

Few years back I left a Fleetgaurd fuel filter for a '95 in the solvent tank overnight. Next morning the blue paint had come off, it was white and said Wix on it.

Detuch is now STP but, when they got mine it was in a no name kind of box and they got it from behind the counter.

Might have to check this out. I have an auto zone close to the house. I use the Mobil 1 oil filter from there on occassion. Thanks!
