Does anyone know if there is somewhere on the internet to buy Fleetguard Complete Premix coolant? I've called three local Cummins distributors and they all use regular coolant and add DCA. On top of that, they buy their coolant in 55 gallon drums and can't help me. Geno's doesn't carry it either. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance for your help!

Try Scheid Diesel 1-800-669-1934. Ask for Andy
They are a Cummins distibutor. I buy all my
supplies from them,they ship UPS.

Their is only one Cummins Distriburor in your area, may have branches, Lots of dealers, they can buy parts from cummins but dont have to, they can buy and use gypo parts. ie: gypo antifreeze and add gypo sca. ( not the same as Cummins Distributor ). Every Gypo diesel shop has a Cummins sign ( they are free with gypo shop name on them )

Distributors are required to use only genuine Cummins parts, this includes antifreeze. They also must stock it and if they are out of stock they will order it. You can go to Cummins web page and look up your local distributor. www.cummins.com

ethylene glycol is the product in all coolant (unless environmental friendly). Just make sure you mix it with DISTILLED WATER...

If you are unable to get the Fleetguard Complete Coolant, then use a "low silicate" ethylene glycol coolant. Most places like NAPA will carry this. I'm not sure if it is absolutly necessary to run the DC4 additive which Fleetguard Complete has (but doesn't hurt just to be safe). Like mentioned before use either distilled or de-mineralized water if you don't buy the pre-mixed coolant. One other note, I have read from Fleetguard/Cummins that it is NOT recommended to use those "extended life" coolants in our B-series engines. Can't remember the reson off hand, but I'm sure some of the TDR members reading this do.

On big block Cummins, always use antifreeze designated for use in these engines, mainly because they are wet sleeve engines and the front cylinder liner can be worn right through by the water/antifreeze (wrong type) hitting it. When I got my 5. 9, I asked the Cummins dealership about what antifreeze to use, and their reply was "any etholglycol"
(spelling??)as the 5. 9 is not sleeved. However, I am interested in "no extended use" antfreeze for thed 5. 9. Why??

I bought NAPA's Anti-Freeze for diesel trucks and their additive today for my RAM. We use it for our fleet of Ford, International, Chevy, and Cummins diesels and have had good success. The only thing I goofed up on was not buying 3 gallons instead of just 2 since the capacity is 6 gallons at a 50% ratio with H2O. So back to NAPA for 1 more gallon tomorrow.

I got mine at Cummins Rocky Mtn. (303/287-0201). Part#CC2701 (HD coolant) $10. 66/gal. (regular-not premixed). Part#CC2602-B (100 single) $1. 10 for a one time SCA test strip. $50 to join the power booster club. Our winters haven't been too cold and my baby stays in the garage so I mixed it for about -16F and it still came out at the low end of the safe area for the SCA without adding any more. Craig
