Went to my local Cummins dealer yesterday for filters for my 01 because of the ever changing pricing from Dodge. I gave Cummins my #s LF3894 and FS19579 which they said had been superceded by LF3935 and FS1261,I have not installed these yet because I think they are wrong, anybody know if these are ok or not, I know the oil filter will fit but I believe this is an old #. Thanks for any help.

I had a sililar problem when i first got my truck. I called Cummins and asked for a Stratapore part # so i could purchase them locally. Then i got the Genos catalog and called them and they said the number Cummins gave me was wrong. I have since looked it up another Cummins dealer and Genos is in fact correct. Use the part number in there cataolg as refference. I have the Amsoil kit now so i dont use Fleetguard anymore.

CAW440... . I just picked up several LF3894 oil filters, and FS19579 fuel filters from Cummins NW two weeks ago.

I just called them and gave them the numbers you're posting. They tell me the LF 3935 is an OLDER oil filter. They couldn't even acknowledge the FS1261 in their book.

I think the 3894 and 19579 are the correct and most current filters. I do know they both fit.

My local Cummins Distrubuter said that the correct fuel filter for the 24V is FS1261, so I used that one and have not had any problems yet.

LF3552

Cummins SouthEastern Power in Ocala gave me filter LF3552 when I asked for a StrataPore. What did I get? Is it the right filter. :confused:

LF3552 = Microglass

JebDog, they sold you the Microglass, not the Stratapore. The microglass is basically the premium filter for the 12V motor. I ran them on my 24V for awhile but the case is not as strong. The advantage of the Microglass over the Stratapore is it filters to a smaller micron level. Downside is, since it filters to a fine level and does not have tiered filtering stages like the Stratapore, don't run it over 3000 miles since it has limited filtering capacity (amount of junk it can hold).

FS1268 supercedes the FS1261, for the '00+ fuel filter.

FS19528 is for the '97-'99 fuel filters.

As far as I know, the 3885 is the latest oil filter, non-StrataPore.

I think the size of the "O"-ring changed slightly. I'm pretty sure that the filter itself is the same as the FS1268.

Cummins NW sold me FS1268 Fuel and LF3935 oil filters. He said the LF3935 is a heavy duty unit. 2001. 5 ETC

The newest Stratopore Filter for the 24v to the best of my knowledge is the 3894 which replaced the 3935. I would try to get a 3894 if possible.
