Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Fleetguard Oil filter - 12v vs. 24v

Geno's web site shows 2 fleetguard oil filters for 12 valve engines and 2 filters for 24 valve engines.



What are the differences between the 12 and 24 valve oil filters?



The reason I ask is because I have been running a LF3349 on my 24 valve. Geno's' web site shows this as being a 12 valve filter.

The 24 valve filters have thicker casings. There were problems with the 24v engine bursting filters because of high oil pressures so they were redesigned with thicker cases.

C, The LF3894 is the better filter. It filters smaller particles. Jeff
