Sounds like a good idea. I want one that you can drain at least some of the oil from before you have to tip it to get it out. On my 97, I used a gallon ziplock bag, but by the time I worked it over the filter, half the time I'd already ripped it! Is there a way to get some oil out of the filter that I'm not familiar with?

I've always left the drain plug for a bit after draining, but before loosening the filter. Seems to draw some out of there , so it is not full when you take it loose.

If you let it sit overnight before changing oil the file siphons down a little so you don't spill any oil. If you have a 12 valve then the P7100 will also drain oil overnight. I pull the drain plug and let it drain overnight. No mess.
