Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Flexible exhaust tubing ?

Is there any reason that I shouldn't use flexible exhaust tubing ? I plan on using it when I lose the stock muffler. I want to be able to easily replace the muffler, just in case I'm not happy without it.

flex exhaust is a cheap way to do it. works great. i'd recommend spending the extra money for stainless flex. it will last a lot longer than the regular flex. hope this helps. nick

I wouldn't make my hole system out of flex pipe but the way you want to use it is just fine. I use it in two places for the flex of engine and body.

You get what you pay for, remember that. At least use stainless flex. The normal flex pipe will rot off your truck in 2-3 years.

I had to use a 2' section of flexible when I changed out my turbo & down pipe. Nobody around here works in 4" pipe. Checked with truck mechanic and he said no problem as a pernanent install, as long as I used stainless! Works great.
