When I first start my 99 24v, the ammeter goes to about 11 amps, and then takes about 30-90 seconds to get to 14 amps. Also, if I leave my lights on when I turn the ignition off for even a very short time, the lights and ammeter flicker for about the same time period,30-90 secs. The Dodge dealer said that this was normal. Anyone else have the same problem??

That is your voltmeter, and yes that is normal. When you start it , the pre-heater in the intake manifild cycles if under 50F . Takes up to 4 minutes for it to finish its work. #ad

The manifold heater is a BIG load. When I see my lights on the garage door it almost looks like high/low beam going on and off.
