Flimsy Rear Slider Latch On 03

take care when operating the latch mechanism on the rear sliding window - my daughter "broke" the plastic around the pin that the latch rocks on - the plastic that is affixed to the glass. 117 bucks to replace the glass with attached plastic base

the dodge parts guy recommended going to glass shop and having them troubleshoot - any suggestions?

the dodge slider through the dealer is a bargain v. glass shops. i could get an electic one for 400 bucks.

i don't think it makes any sense to replace with the original part as the construction and design are substandard



anyone have any experience with this?
