Breakaway Switch Question

We are starting to pull our trailer alot more now and I am really interested in the new flip-out mirrors that come on the new Dodges. Do they have to be purchased from Dodge or can you get them from some other sorce. And whats the going price. Thanks Al Mendes

they are wonderful

and dern handy for towing, I heard but dont know it to be true but cost from the dealer is like 375 each  dont quote me on that, keep an eye on the classifieds I have seen members selling them in there before ... ... ... . good luck Kevin

Al,

My wife got them for me last X-Mas and she paid $180 with a relative's employee discount through a local stealer. I think the going rate is around $200??? As far as I am aware, they are only available through a stealer.

Good Luck,

Paul

just got mine yesterday, they go for $211. 00, but the parts guy

gave me the employee discount, $188. 00.

Does anyone know which mirrors go out farther??

The "new" stock flipouts or the Cipa ones that you have to pull out and then the mirror is electric adjustable??

I need all the extension I can get.

The flipout mirrors work great when adjusted, BUT I hate the non power feature. I put my camper on & flip the mirrors out many times a year & I'm tired of manually readjusting everything. I'd go with the Cipas if I had the small power mirrors wired in already.

My primary passenger HATES adjusting mirrors. She seems to think its my fault that she can't get them adjusted right. ;)

You might consider the PowerVision mirrors. I have a set; they are power extended, remote adjustable and heated as well. Stable and a great addition to my CTD.

Where do you get the PowerVision? I was going to order a set of Cipa mirrors this week from Zeno's.

I have power and heated mirrors and want to get power slide out so long as I can easily mount the switch.
