flip out trailer towing mirrors

Is it possible to replace non flip-out power mirrors with the flip-out kind? Does Dodge need to do this, or can I do it myself? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

I did them myself on my 98. Just loosened the door panel at the top (didn't have to remove it all the way), unpluged wiring harness, removed the three nuts holding the old mirror on, and replaced with new mirror. Did two trucks in less than 1 hour.



The towing mirrors were not available in power back when I put mine on. The new ones are, but I imagine the plugs are the same.

I am putting the power heated ones on my truck, but will have a spare set when I am done... . Let me know if you are interested. . I will let them go for CHEAP!!
