Does anyone have a recommendation for the best front and rear floormats for a 2001 4X4 truck with the 6 speed? I see that Geno's Garage carries the Husky and Mopar brands. (New truck should be in this week!) Thanks

I have been using Husky Liners for about two years now. They fit perfect, are easy to clean and well worth the money. I have the factory rubber floor mats but wanted the extra protection and easy clean up. I don't think you would be disappointed.

I second everything 243 said. I have the same setup on my Quad Cab. The rear set goes under the seat. I unbolted the storage tray, slid the liners under and rebolted the tray.

Thanks for the replies, you have me convinced. Tomorrow I'll call Geno's and order the complete set - maybe they will be here in time for the new arrival! (This waiting is the worst part!!)

ISB Rambo:
Consider the Fox brand. I like the Husky Liners, but the Fox liners are what I bought.

They are made of a molded plastic compound with an adhesive "thin carpet/coating on them. They are stiff, but a PERFECT fit (IMO). They don't slide at all and I never even used the velcro strips that come with them).

I think that they cover/protect way better (IMO). I think you will agree when you see them. And to boot, they just hose off really easilly.

They are bloody indestuctable and they look very cool; molded sill, heel, up the side of the foot-well protection for carpet-goes way up the side so your muddy boots can't mess-up the carpet next to the pedal ect. - pretty neat stuff.

I haven't seen anything else like it on the market and I get ALLOT of compliments and "Where did you get them?" questions).

I know that they make a rear set for the Rams now as well. I advise that you check them out. I had my mind made-up on Husky's too, until I saw these. I am glad I got them - not 1 complaint.

Sorry I don't have the web-site for you. If you can't find it anywhere, e-mail me and I will try to dig it up.

Hope this helps (prob. confuses matters), but you always want the best bang for your buck, right?

The Cannuck;

Have to admit that you stopped me in my tracks. I was all set to order this morning but I'd like to see the Fox mats first. Did a search for Fox floor mats and could not find a site. Sure would apppreciate it if you could locate it and mention it here. I may be wrong, but I believe there are a lot of us in the same boat with a truck either just arrived or are still awaiting delivery. Thanks

ISB RAMBO:
Al K. did provide the site before I could find it. It seems to me that when I bought them, I recall requesting a package of lit. I actually bought them without ever actually seeing a set, as the pictures on the web site do not do them justice, where as the lit. they send out does. The brochure (they have a Dodge-specific one) and information have allot better pictures/info. and that is what convinced me to buy them.

They are a little pricy (esp. if jou live in Canada), but I DO NOT regret my decision - at all. I think they are fantastic and the best out there (IMO).

Thanks for digging up the web-site Al. I really suggest that anyone considering them get the mail-out lit. , so you can really get a better idea of the look/quality. They are sharp looking and protect the truck's carpet really well. (IMO)

Thanks for the info on Fox. After looking at their ad with my wife, we only have one concern - seems they only come in black. My new truck, which arrived yesterday has the camel/tan trim. I'll call Fox today and double check, if black only I may be forced into getting the Husky version.

We have the RV/Travel show here in Raleigh, NC this weekend and I'll probably wait until we attend that before I order (unless Fox comes in colors) - maybe a new vendor out there. Again thanks!

Today the wife and I went to our local Leoard dealer to check out truck caps. As it turned out, they sell the Husky brand liners. After checking them out, it was obvious that if water gets on the mat, there is no good way to get it out.

After getting home, I called Fox to check on the colors, turns out black is the only one, and was told that if the door was opened and a gallon of water was spilled on the mat, it would all run outside. After looking at the truck again and seeing a black steering wheel and dash, yours truly (ISB RAMBO) told the wife the decision had been made!

Thanks again for all the inputs!!

Just though I'd give final feedback for the Fox liners (black being the only color) in my 2001 2500 SLT+ quad cab with the 6 speed.

First, they are as represented - very high quality and functional. The drivers front has to be set in perfectly or it will interfere with clutch/starting operation. The front passenger side required 5 minutes of sanding with a dremel tool to fit perfectly around the floor mounted cup holder - looks great, can't believe I'm such an artist! The rear mats require removing the front bolts of the underseat storage holder and just loosening the two rear bolts. This allows the storage area to pivot up enough to slip the mats underneath. All in all, they look and function great.

PS: I initially didn't want black with the tan carpets, but today I installed the Dodge step shields, which are black, and now have a color match that's great!
