Okay here is my idea for a mystery switch. Instead of using a toggle switch run a floor "headlight dimmer style" two position switch on the floor that just provides a ground so you are either locked or in "stock mode" Now what i am wondering is how do i go about running a light that I will put on the dash to tell me that it is locked up... can I just put it in line on the ground(I don't think i can do this)? Or do i need to run a +12V to one side of the light then run from the light to the transmission side of the foot switch(not the ground side) Anyhow, any help woudl be great, i am not the best about electrical connections. Thanks all

if you run a 12 volt lead to the light first then to the ground you will be supplying power back to the tc unless you install a diode between the tc and the connection point of the light the other option is to put a relay on the other pole of spdt foot switch IE dimmer and wire the light bulb on the normally closed side of the relay then when the switch is in the on position no power is put to the relay and the contacts go closed turning the light on hope this helps can draw you a schematic if you pm me
