Hello, I have a 03 2500 quad cab thats getting water from some where under the rear seat in the storage area. Anyone heard of this problem with other rams ?

Yes!!!! My driver's side under-seat compartment gets SOAKED when it rains. I don't have any answers, but sure could use some.

I caulked all around my 3rd brake light and the top of the rear windshield, but it didn't seem to help.

IF you have roof clearance lights, make sure they're the type that have a rubber seal between them and the cab.

The ones that come on 03 - 05's have a foam seal that you can't see UNLESS you take them off. The updated 06+ clearance light has a rubber seal that you can see w/out taking the light off.

It goes up about 1/4" from the roof around/on the lens itself. This is the better light that doesn't leak.

Yea I have the leak and bought the new lights. Had them for a year and still haven't gotten around to installing the. Price was very reasonable. I think they were like $13 each.

i do have roof lights, i just didnt think the water would make it all the way to under the back seat. Is that a dealer only replacement light or after market ?

on my 04 dually quad cab the rear window seal was leaking

fortunately i caught it when it was covered under warranty and the dealer replaced the window

i dont drive the truck anymore but i think that it had a rear slider window

OE Slider on mine leaked, the dealer was not smart enough to find it. I changed the rear window to and aftermarket style it has better visibility and does not leak at all.

I realize that you are asking a serious question and hoping someone will provide you with a correct answer. However, every now and then posts like this one sort of slip in under the radar. In answer to your question, I was thinking the cause might be your rear seat passenger reacting to your driving style????? :-laf:-laf

Sorry sometimes I can't help myself.

yeah last person i had back there was a ford owner :-laf. Anyway i pulled the back seat, pulled up the carpet some, still soaked after 6 weeks sitting in the pole barn. There was standing water in the floor sill. I pulled it outside ran the water across back window and of course leaks. I'm not sure if it can be pulled and resealed or should i just replace the window. #@$%!

I had the same problem on my 03 quad cab after much searching it turned out to be a problem with the sealer used on the rear panels, they missed a spot which lead to a water leak, I sealed it with automotive goup about a year ago and no more leaks since. I had to remove the back of the rear seat to find the leak with a hose running all around the rear cab panels. Hope this helps

My 08 Quad cab leaks in the RT Rear cab area and runs behind the seat to the floor under seat storage area. Appears to be from the rubber seal thats on the top of the cab near the edge apparently where two body panels merge. I haven't had time to investigate yet.

big problem with 2005--dealer removed back glass and re sealed. No more leaks. It would flood in around the bottom on drivers side when using water hose. Dealer said everyone they sold had same problem.

My entire interior was soaked. Water dripping from the overhead consol, from the DVD player..... water pooled in my cup holders and floors... . Turned out it was the golf ball that smashed my sunroof right before 3 days of torrential rain. Yep, that'll do it.
