Florida must really suck or is it blow?

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. (UPI) -- Police in south Florida are cracking down on the new fad of putting blaring train horns on pickup trucks.



A good set of ultra-loud train horns costs about $1,000 and a ticket costs only $70. The horns themselves are not against the law, but sounding them is a violation of Miami Beach's noise ordinance, the Miami Herald said Monday.



"If one of my officers sees you, and you blow that horn, you will be arrested," said Police Sgt. David De la Espriella.



The horn blowers say they just having fun, scaring the bejabbers out of people who are too close when the horns sound.



Lino Alvarado Jr. , 20, gave a demonstration near a group of high school students.



"Did you see those kids flinch? But old people are even better," he said.



He objects to any crackdown on the good time he is having.



"They should be arresting delinquents, people who are doing something really illegal, like selling drugs," said Alvarado, who has been arrested once. "I'm just a guy having fun with train horns. "

I wonder what Alvarado will do when he sounds those things and it causes some old person to have a heart attack. Or causes someone to jerk their steering wheel resulting in an accident... ..... Will it then be "just having fun"??

It does work for that most of the time, it also get bicyclists out of your way on winding mountain roads and gets the idiot next door neighbor to stop parking cars on the street in front of your house as a showcase for his illegal used car lot... .
