PS intercooler

I got a 2000 powerstroke intercooler in my truck with the conversion. I am going to measure the pressure drop across the intercooler in the next week or so. I will post the info when I have it.

I was sent some info. And it looks like the powerstroke intercoolers only flow 350cfm. Compared to our coolers that flow 950cfm or so. I guess thats yet another reason that the powerstrokes only make half the power..... :p

I would have to believe they flow more then that. The minimum cfm for a stock PSD is 600+. I'm sure they wouldn't put an intercooler that would only flow half of that.

With my mods so far I peak at about 38 psi of boost, this measured at the intake. I will measure it at the turbo outlet and see what it is there. This would indicate the pressure drop across the cooler. The ports on the cooler ar 3 1/2 inches fairly large.

I bought one of these for another project I was working on.....

From the looks of it - it looks like it'll flow some sweet #'s... . nothing spectacular, but not too shabby either.

The above comment holds about as much water as this comment: "From the looks of it - that PSD just HAS to be more reliable and powerful than a CTD. "
