Earlier today I was having some stereo work done and the technician informed me that when he pulled back the carpet on the drivers side he noticed some liquid on the floor. It appeared to be brake fluid so I'm wondering what might cause this. Do I have a bad seal in the brake booster and, if I do, is this something a novice shade tree mechanic can repair.

Thanks for any help you can provide

Mine has done the same thing for about a year and a half. Does not leak much, just a wet streak under the rug when you pull it back. Wonder if it happens on a cold morning?? Have not upgraded it to an issue yet.

Now will see if anyone else has had the same trouble.

I currently have a powersteering leak in the cab. Streaks in by the shaft, then weeps along the carpet. Not a pretty site, and I ocasionally have to top off the P/S fluid. Haven't had the time to find out where it's coming from, but gotta do something soon!
