Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) fluid leak

After getting back from the dump this morning i noticed what looks like water dripping from the engine compartment upon further investigation i found that it was coming from a tube ( black, about . 5 - 1 inch long) that perturbs from the firewall ( passenger side , below and slightly to the right of the air filter box )

it continued to drip for about two to three hours then it stopped, but started again when i started the truck

i have not used the ac and it looks like WATER ( CLEAR AND NO DISTINGUISHABLE ODOR )

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like the ac condensate line. Some times water will stay in collector pan under condensor coils. When vehicle goes uphill or downhill water will drain out.
