Fluids & Filters Purchase in SJ, CA

I was looking o do some basic sevice on my rig this weekend and as usual didn't plan anything out. I was wondering where near San Jose, CA I could purchase motor oil, trans. oil, dif. fluid and the associated filters. Looking for the boring stuff, not the new synthetic or cool "widgets"- not in the budget right now. Probably next service start converting things over to By-pass filters, reusable high-flow filters, fancy lube. s and so forth. Of particular interest is, if these locations have weekend hours and stock on hand.

Try calling around to the local big rig shops. I buy my filters at the local Peterbilt shop for less than most places.

I get my Delo 400 right at Costco, but the other "stuff" I usually mail order. There is a Cummins Shop right over in San Leandro which would stock everything that you need (they are closed on weekends, however).

For Cummins West in San Leandro 1-800-595-5050 and ask for Tim Tomie. If you are going to buy more than just filters (i. e. parts and/or service) then I would suggest getting a mid-ranger's membership. It will give you a discount on parts/service. The discount is also good at other Cummins dealerships too. I have had good service from them on all occasions. I can't say the same for the local Dodge dealerships.



For engine oil, I use Price/Costco's Delo400.

filter change this weekend

I live here in Redwood City just 20 minutes up 101. I have extra air- oil and fuel filters from Geno's. I have a Frant'z TP filter on my truck ( single TP) The Frant'z work really good. Also have pusher pump by tank and TP fuel filter if you want to stop by and check things out and pick up the extra filters that I have I will give them up for what I paid for them.
