Heat homes with CORN not #2!

$1.95 For Diesel

I was in a RV site and they had a thread going about Flying J. The gist was that the "J" was higher than nearby stations and that the $. 01 discount had disappeared.

Since i am getting ready to travel and usually use the "J" this was interesting. Anybody else found this to be true?

not to my knowledge around here where I live flying j is usually cheaper then other stations and flying j is one of the very few that don't buy any foreign oil. :D :-laf Oo.

just go to their website and check the current prices at each depot. the one here is still 1-3 cents cheaper than the Loves across the street

The Flying J here in Albuquerque is currently $0. 06 more inexpensive than most all of the other discount stations. Today it is $3. 85, Dimond Shamrock is $3. 91, Phillips is $3. 98, Love's is $3. 92.

Update. J near here in CA is from $4. 07-4. 09
i just found a local station thet was $4. 039, CAsh or Debit card

You've got to spend money in the restaurant/store to get the . 01 per gallon discount now. Oh well, at least I don't have to deal w/ a $75 maximum like most other spots.

What Wcoomes said is correct re: the discount coming through restaurant and store purchases. Kind of hard to earn a discount when there is no restaurant here and nothing I want in the store. I'll still use Flying J since I like the ease of access in most of the locations I use.

For several years I've used a AAA Visa Card for fuel purchases. It returns 5% on all fuel purchases. Shows up the month after the bill is paid.

After getting heated fuel at Flying J I'll never buy from them again if I can avoid it. My opinion, cheaper per gallon maybe but your not getting the same quantity as you would with cool fuel so your paying more in the end.

We found out about the loss of the discount when leaving Florida. I was more upset about the 5 cent loss on the propane. I have also at times found the price cheaper at other places and I have to agree, I don't need their food or want anything in the store. I'm sure we'll use it at times but not like we used to. I can get Flying J fuel considerably cheaper at Frys down the street than I from the Flying J truck stop 50 miles away. I do beleive it's good fuel though.

This practice is illegal. I hope all Flying J's don't do this.

i never had any problems with the quality of flying j fuel i go there ever since my truck was brand new in 2004 my fuel filters always look good when i replace them remember there fuel turns over fast

I don't know what flying j has been smoking these days, up till about a month and a half ago I could count on them being 2 to 3 cents cheaper. I haven't bought fuel from them in quite some time because they have now become the most expensive!!

i have been going to frys to get fuel latley because its up to 6 cents cheaper than flying j. two days ago i noticed that they use flying j diesel at frys? what gives?
