Autos don't have a flywheel, only a thin flex plate to bolt the TC to. So, yes there is a difference. :)
 
stlowry, be advised that all flex plates are not alike either. If you have to replace one for any reason, get a better than stock one if you are going to be increasing HP. They are prone to cracking around the bolt holes. I had one where the bolts must have started backing out, which rounded out the holes. The noise it made was bone chilling, as I didn't know what it was.
