I was under my truck today and noticed the right side fog light bracket that holds the fog light assembly in was broken on one side. I took it to the dealer and they told me this item was not covered under the warranty. is this true? if so, where can i get factory parts on kine for a decent price. the dealership said it was over $150. and i had to change the entire fog light.

It would normally be covered under the factory 36 month, 36,000 mile warranty unless the dealer tech determined it was broken by contact.

MOPAR4LESS which has a website and an internet parts department is the source I always use for MOPAR parts. A young woman named "K" has always treated me very well.

I reserve the right to be completely wrong, but my understanding of the Chrysler warranty is that it only covers "light bulbs" for 12,000 miles or 12 months. There is no mention of bracketry or mounting systems of the lights unless they can prove that, as was mentioned before, the owner caused the failure do to neglect or accident. I'd check with another dealer or service department before you spend out of pocket.

Choose your battles wisely. You won't win this one. It is plastic, and out front, and close to the road surface. They will say something hit it, you'll say no... ... Forty to fifty bucks for the whole assembly, I think I have bought three so far. Although it has been the lenses that keep getting cracked.

I researched the service contract to find that it in NOT covered. now to find one online, because I wouldn't buy this from the dealership if it was the last one on earth... thanks for the help guys

parts

I may have a right side bracket that would work off my '06 3500. And yes you can only get the whole assembly. I will check this evening and get back to you.
