When I first got my 96 3500 2WD TD it did not have fog lights, I was told that the fog lights would not fit the model with the diesel engine. However I have seen them installed in later models with diesel engines. Can any one advise if they are now available for the 96 year model, I would like to install them in the stock bumper holes that are there for them.

Assuming you are talking about the OEM foglights, the general concensus seems to be that if you have a manual transmission, you won't have any problem. Some of the early 24 valves seemed to have clearance problems on the auto trannys, but fogs were an option on other years with the auto, so I don't have a clear answer on that.

I have a spare bumper from a 99 with the factory fogs, so I am going to transplant them into my 97 with the auto. I'll let you know what happens, but from eyeballing it I sure think it will clear. I had a thread on this earlier this week than seemed to support this conclusion.
