Just bought a new 2003 3500 SRW and was trying to figure out if anyone has bought and installed the Mopar fog lights.

I tried to search for this information and couldn't find anything. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I installed the Moper Fog Lights on my 2003 2500 Quad Cab. Not a big deal, took about 2 hours with help (did not know what I was doing, would take less time now).

Running the wiring harness is the hardest part, mounting the Fog Lights it easy. Had to poke a hole in a rubber boot to get the harness inside the cab, and the relay would not fit where the pictures showed it fitting.

They really fill in the area below the headlights.

Don't break one though. The fog light on the drivers side broke, and it cost $134 dollars  to replace it. I actually just bought a whole new fog light kit for $169, that way I have an extra for $35.

I read somewhere that the kit comes with a separate switch... is this switch a "stick on the dash type" or did you have to drill a hole in the dash for it? Thanks!

Fog light Switch

Dilled a 20mm hole in the dash just to the left of the steering wheel for the fog light switch.

Factory Fog light wiring

I was at the dealer getting the first oil change on my truck, along with getting my rear wheel fender liners:) .

While I was waiting I went to check out the factory installed fog lights, just to see how the switch "should" look and how they were hooked up. I didn't know the fog light switch is part of the headlight switch, pull on the switch in the on position to turn on the fog lights, instead of a separate switch on the dash.

When I was installing the Mopar after market fog lights, I noticed a couple connectors near the fog lights and thought, I wonder what I don't have that I should have??? So while I waiting at the dealer, I crawled under a truck with factory fog lights, and they were plugged into the connectors that I was wondering what were for on my truck.

So, what are the chances that I can get a head light switch with internal fog light switch and replace the switch on my dash, remove the after market fog light wiring harness and use the factory harness? If it is this simple wouldn't DC sell a new headlamp switch, relay and fog lights instead of an entire wiring harness?

Now that I have seen factory install, the switch on the dash looks after market.

Thanks, Shannon

I just installed the kit 2 days ago. Fairly straight forward - I also wondered about those "spare" connectors inside the bumper - now I know!

The only thing that got me was the two white wires with green stripes as I needed the girlfriend to help pick the darker one because it all looked the same to me. That's why being an electrician wasn't my top career choice , even though I could have learned from my Dad's 40+ years experience.

I guess if I we ever did get the factory headlight/foglight switch, we can use the aftermarket switch for back-up lights...
