2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission fog lights

I just bought a 96 3500. How do you turn on the fog lamps? I don't see a switch anywhere.

If they are factory fog lights, there should be a switch above the radio, next to the overdrive shutoff, if you have an auto transmission.

It is an auto. There is only the overdrive shut off. I checked underneath and the lamps are attached to the factory electrical plugs. There are also relays in the electrical box. Thanks.

I have the factory fog lights on my 98. 5. the switch is in the same panel as the air bag switch. Dont know if the 96 is the same or if you have the lock out key to turn off the air bag for the right side.

The newer trucks had the headlight switch that you twist to turn lights on. With fog lights, you pulled out on that switch. I will have to do some more checking, if your truck is not set up this way. After doing some thinking, I am believe only the 94-95 had the fog light switch by the auto overdrive shutoff switch.

My 98 has the switch on the headlights that you pull out, but this 96 has no indication of a switch anywhere. I checked behind the dash where the overdrive switch is and there is no extra wiring there. Thanks.

The 96 has it by the O. D. switch as mentioned before.

I have a 1996 dodge ram with an automatic from what I am gathering if I purchased kit 82204221 (around 90 bucks). I should be able to plug and play. I see under my radiator there is a single connection and I have already acquired a fog lamp switch from the junk yard. Thanks for all the help.
