OK, mabey this is not a real 911, but just found out the fog lights do not work. checked fuses, and the relay, (swaped it for the horn horn works fog lights don't. I have read some posts about faulty head light switches, thought they were in older models, (see signiture).

Any thoughts before I start rippings into the wiring etc???? thanks in advance!

Do you pull the headlight switch to make them come on or is it a separate switch on the 99. My 98 had a switch over by the air bag key in the middle of the dash... ... . you know ergonomically correct location so the driver didn't have to take his eyes off the road. My 01 is the headlight switch pull configuration.

Assuming you have all that worked out, start at the lights and make sure you have voltage there. On my 98, there was a small box (matchbox size) under the dash that did the high beam detection. If high beams are on, the fog lights won't come on. Mine had a loose connection at one point an the lights wouldn't come on. Once I cleaned the connection, they worked.

The fog lamp switch is built into the headlight switch, (pull with lights on). thats why I questioned about faulty headlight switches.

I am off today and plan to do exactly what you suggested and start from the lights and work back. thanks for your help

found the problem, it was the switch, checked the wire loom carefully, all looks well, pulled the switch and could not get a reading bypassed the switch and "voila" the lights came on!

went to Orlando Dodge, second time there, can't say enough good about them, they checked did not have a switch in stock, and I did not want to wait since I had the dash face off, they checked around and found a jeep dealer real close by and directed me to them, under $40!!!

thanks for the help... :--)
