Any of you wiring Gurus figure out how to make the foglights stay on with the bright lights? Can you simply jumper pin 30 to pin 87 on the foglight relay socket as in the later 2nd Gens? What about making the brights and dims stay on together, as when you pull back on the the dimmer switch?

Thanks in advance for your response.

used to be if u had a daytime running light module, if u unplugged that, u could run fogs and highs at the same time.

Hello,

Being that EVERYTHING is controlled by the Computers I would say good luck without upsetting the electronics. This also is the same story for leaving the A/C off in the defrost mode. No easy fix for that either:(

If no body comes up with something better, we could just install a relay triggered by the high beams and connected to the fogs. I hate the idea of splicing stuff though - would much rather have a plug in type module.

I mounted a seperate relay with the switching power coming from the right parking light. The foglights now come on whenever the parking lights, low beams or high beams are on. The factory switch doesn't do anything at all. The fog lights this year have 9006 bulbs in them which are a highbeam bulb. I installed PIAA Extreme Whites in the headlights and foglights. The truck has some really nice light coming from it now. High beams and fogs light the road up great... . CJ

FWIW I have a Piaa in the passenger side and a Silverstar on the drivers side. The Silverstar is brighter. Gotta like it when the cheaper option is the better one.

Jumper trick should still work, looking at the under-hood fuse box.

Brites and lows, no, different circuitry, Brite Box is working on one... . understand it will be out in a couple of weeks.

I like the Piaa's just fine. I have tried just about everthing in the last 5 years from high wattage to the SilverStars. The Piaa's sure look brighter in my truck. I went out and changed one of the 9006's to a SilverStar that use to be in my wifes Suburban. It is not even close. The Piaa is brighter and whiter. The lights that are in my truck are very new. They have not been out very long. I have always had fits with other bulbs blowing out very quickly... especially the high wattage CRAP. I have had very good luck with Piaa lights and bulbs. I have a set of 520's on the Burb which are on constantly. I have not lost a bulb in two years. I will mount some Piaa's in the BUCKSTOP bumper I am installing this weekend on the 03. The Piaa's cost more, but that is usually for a reason... CJ
