I recently ordered and took delivery of a 3500 SLT C&C with quad cab and the premium seat option [*M9---Cloth 40/20/40 Prem Bench Seat] and it is, per their brochure, that the "fold flat load floor folding" system is included in this option. When I recieved my truck it was not there and the fleet manager said that it was out of his control because Dodge deleted it from the options list and per computer proved his point. I called customer assistance and was politly told that it was a Dealer issue and I should talk to management to resolve the issue. Wow, did I get laughed at when I repeated what customer assistance told me and then the fleet manager promtly called in the general manager which politly stated the obvious that if Dodge delete's it in production and that the brochure has it and Dodge did not include it how could it be the Dealers fault. I called customer service back the next day and they admitted that it was in the brochure but not an option for the C&C and I did not pay for it even though it was in the brochure and Dodge will not help me.

I want to take them to small claims court for what it will cost me, not including labor, $1200. 00 to get the option. Have any members here had this issue with their ordered C&C vehicle? I would like to maybe pressure Dodge with the fact that there are others with the same complaint

I think that an option for a work truck in a work truck, which is important to all of us who needs it and then Dodge just delete's it because some bean counter wants a bonus, in a lean profit year, is unprofesional and I beleive would be concidered false advertisement. I dont know how to start a poll for a TDR thread, any help would be wellcomed.

Thanks Steve

Not to pick fight, but most of the brochures that I have seen have a disclaimer that things are subject to change in the small print somewhere.

That is exactly what my fleet manager says, but if we just drop it, then they win. I want to research this to find out if others are having the same problem and want Dodge to correct this issue, if not for me then maybe help others that are not aware of this when they order theirs.

Holy cow who told you $1200?? My truck didnt come with it either but the dealer told me itll cost about $200 bucks for me to add it... just wonderin about the difference in price is all.

I think his complaint stems from the fact that it was included in the option when he ordered the truck so unless the price was lowered at delivery which we all know it wasn't, he did infact pay for the option already.

As for a suitable option your dealer should have bit the bullet and ordered and installed the parts for a negligible amout, say the tech's lunch. It may not be the dealers fault but ultimatly you are their customer and if this is your only complaint it is fairly easy to satisfy.

If memory serves me right, on my '03 that option was about $100. 00 when ordered on the truck. However, if you wanted it after the truck was built, it was about $1100. 00. Quite a difference!!!

It is a nice feature that I use all the time.

There are two part numbers you must order to get the fold flat system,

1) 5HH78DX9AC - Panel Load - list price $600. 00 2) 5HH79DX9AC - Panel load - list price $549. 00. If it was only $200 I would already have it and install it myself, gee, my running boards were $400. 00

It is a mater of principal as well so lets compare the costs,

1) 3500 SLT QC 4X4 w/premium seats fold flat system included $455. 00

2) 3500 C&C SLT QC 4X4 w/premium seats no fold flat system $455. 00

these prices were quoted from the fleet manager after the discovery of the missing fold flat system, and was by his memory on the 1st truck so if the price is off a little that is the reason, just being honest.

The reg truck brochure and the C&C brochure are close in language but not identical, the reg states fold flat system requires premium seat option when the C&C brochure gives three (*AJ,*GJ,*VL) and is included in those codes.

However the premium seat discription for the option in the C&C states it is included, when there is no mention of it in the premium seat option for the reg truck.

The whole fold flat system is shown at mopar.com.

Part# 82209986, for $245. It is listed under "interior accessories", then "storage". try this link www.mopar.com

Wow, I saw the part your talking about and it seems to be OK, it doesn't look like the one in my 04 but if it works maybe I can get my dealer to settle on that system. Thanks for finding it for me and just another reason why I like TDR,

Thanks Steve

Fold Away Flat Load System

Steve, this is the exact part #(82209986) that you need, for the fold away flat load system. It is made for the 3500, and 2007 model year. I have it in my 06', and it's nice !!!!!It has carpet material similar to floor mats, on the surface you see in the picture. The vertical leg that sits on the floor, supports all the way across, and you can see the handle on the end, that you grab and pull up, fold back, and push flat. The other side is the same. Try to settle with your dealer on this , you will like it... ... it's what should have come with your truck anyway!!!... . same part # , and what would have been installed in truck from factory !!

Hope this helps !! Oo. Oo.

I went to the mopar.com site and I think that although the picture quality is low that is the same load floor that is in my 04. 5 from the factory. 245 is still alot more than the 100 cost at purchase or the inclusion if you buy premium seats as I did but it is alot better thann 1100 plus labor.

I followed Scootergmc advice and found one on E-BAY and is the exact copy of my 04. 5 and I paid $152. 00 plus shipping, which is a whole lot cheaper than ordering through Dodge. I would like to thank all who helped me in any way.

That being said, what about all those who did not get the option with their order? I don't think that there are a lot of customers that miss this option as much as I needed it, but the fact that they included it in their broucher, which I dont think was a misstake, purpously missled customers.

I guess the bean counters win one, there are not many complaints I guess, per the response on this thread. I did manage to find one a lot cheaper than Dodge and that was due to TDR.

FWIW- The new style in the 07's is made of plastic and looks just as cheap. My salesman pointed one out on a 07 Laramie, and it would not fold up or extend out very easy and I think it would have sagged under the load I have planed for it.

Again, thank you for all the help.
